Soaring Higher for Express Employment Professional's 35th Anniversary

The Challenge

As a longstanding client, Express Employment Professionals invites ITC each year to produce their biggest annual event, their International Leadership Conference (ILC). Designed to do more than just recognize top performers and celebrate the company’s success, the event seeks to be a true revelation for attendees, providing genuine inspiration and support for an ongoing mission devoted to job ministry. It’s a tall order, coupled with creating something bigger and better than the year before, always reaching for the best ILC yet.

The Solution

The 2018 ILC started like every year, with an intense planning process months in advance. Inviting top company leadership to ITC headquarters for two days to brainstorm and collaborate, a strategy and concept were created that culminated with the chosen theme “Soaring Higher.”

With a thematic foundation in place, event elements were organized to support it, emphasizing key aspects of blue sky and flight to create a visceral sense of awe, wonder and inspiration. Particular highlights included a live theatre opening, one that integrated a live band with high-flying acrobats and costumed members of the executive leadership team. Additional peak moments featured extensive projection-mapping to enhance the stage scenic, including a sunrise sequence to open each day. Daily instants videos even engaged attendees directly, recording answers to questions such as “What does ‘Soaring Higher’ mean to you?”

Overall, ITC activated a wide range of in-house events to ensure “Soaring Higher” resonated as strongly as possible, producing a fully immersive event that proved to be a deeply affecting experience for all attendees.

The Results

Attendees left the conference feeling genuinely honored and motivated, with a sense of collective accomplishment and pride. Senior leadership regarded the ILC as the high-water mark in the event’s history—the best yet they could credit ITC with making happen.
